Photo Gallery

All installations of MyWebNControl offer a basic Photo Gallery feature that you can manage by clicking the "Gallery" icon at the top of the main menu.  The photo gallery allows you to create collections of digital photos in an organized manner, either for public viewing or private archives.

The photo gallery gives you the ability to enter titles and descriptions for each photo (this is optional), organize them into collections (categories), and enter a "Gallery Icon" for each colleciton if you desire.  You can also create an explanatory "Gallery Home Page" to help guide users through your collection.

The key benefit of the gallery feature is that you can load alot of photos into one area of your website, and the gallery tool automatically creates a thumbnail of each photo and organizes all of the photos in a specific category so visitors can view the thumbnails on a single page and click each one to enlarge and view the photo description.

When you are ready to start building your Photo Gallery, please let us know what you want it to be called and we will add it as an embedded link at the bottom of your navigation menu.  You may want to call it "Photo Gallery" or "Alaska Photos" or even "Product Images" or something that fits your purpose in using the Gallery.  Again, let us know when you are ready to start using the Gallery and we'll add it to your menu.  You can always access your gallery directly by going to http://www.yourdomain.com/gallery.asp if you want to review your progress before we add it to your navigation menu.  Some clients use the gallery feature extensively, while others prefer to place pictures directly on web pages throughout their website--it's totally up to you and what fits your business.  Some clients even use their gallery as a private photo collection and only give the actual web address (mentioned above) to specific individuals, while never adding the link to their navigation menu.

It's best to organize your photos in some manner, either by subject matter, date, or something that relates to your business, and the way these are organized in the gallery is through the "Gallery Categories".  You can create as many categories (albums) as you desire, and you can load as many images into each category as you like.  Each Gallery Category or album can have a small image attached to it as a "Gallery Icon" to give visitors a sample or representation of what photos they will find.

At this time, we are not able to sort gallery images within a specific gallery, nor are we able to sort the order of the gallery categories.  We hope to have these features available in the future.

Here are the screens you'll see as you:  1. Open the Gallery Feature, 2. Add Gallery Categories, and 3. Add Gallery Images.
